Here are some shots from two weekends ago of our adventure to Joffre Lakes Provincial Park. The park is about a one hour drive north of Whistler. Patricia drove us out there picking up Nieks and her two dogs Bowen and Lexi on the way. We all hiked for three hours past three lakes for a view of the glacier, then turned around and ventured back out again. It was the last real day of summer and although the water looks turquoise and inviting, it was far too cold for swimming. Definitely glad we didn’t hold out and wait for another weekend as it has cooled down significantly since then.
Goodbye summer. Hello fall.
